A Capt. William Raymond, brother of John and Richard Raymond, located to Beverly, MA about 1652. Richard lived at Salem in 1634, then moved to CT. John, the other brother was living in Beverly in 1670 and died in 1703. Our John in 1850 was, according the the census records, a hair dresser. Was this actually Pheobe's occupation? His real estate was worth $1,500 at the time - average to high for the times.
