This graveyard was called the Bridge Street Grave Yard. According to the 1850 Census, Joseph was a sail maker and his real estate was worth $9,000, which was a very sizable amount at the time. One look at the census records illustrates that this man was wealthy. Also, in 1850, he had two children living with him and Esther: Dorcus P (born ABT 1838), and Louisa (born ABT 1840).
