The 2nd Baron, took part in the wars of Edward I and III and was with the Black Prince at Crecy. He married in 1294 Joan, sister and heir of Baron Gresley of County Lancaster and had one son, John, who died before 1345, preceding his father in death. He and his wife, Margaret Holland, were the parents of two sons and one daughter. The title of Baron was passed onto his grandson, Roger De La Warr.
