A Mrs. Charity Bishop was in Cumberland in 1762 as an innkeeper, and Mr. Martyn married in 1763 Charity, widow of . . . Oulton, Innkeeper. Her will of 19-Jan-1782 mentions Charles Oulton of Cumberland and his then seven children and her sister, Joanna Bellamy of Whitestone, Devon, England.
